1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to save on your computer, tablet or phone. It lets a site remember something between one page and the next, or between visits.
Similar technologies do much the same job: local storage keeps information inside your browser rather than in a cookie file, and pixels (a tiny piece of code, often an invisible image) tell a service that a page has been opened. Where this policy says “cookies”, we mean all of these.
2. Why this site uses them
Bryndal Capholm is an information and lead-referral website. We are not a broker, an exchange or a trading platform, and we do not hold your money or carry out transactions.
We use cookies to keep the site working and secure, to remember choices you make, to see in general terms which pages people read and how they found us, and, only if you agree, to support advertising.
We do not use cookies to collect your name, email address or phone number. We receive those details only if you type them into an enquiry form, and our Privacy Policy explains what happens to them.
3. The categories used here
Cookies here fall into four categories: strictly necessary, functional, analytics and advertising. The individual cookies change as services update, so we describe purposes rather than name them.
Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site to work, so they are not optional. Typical purposes: keeping your session stable between pages, helping our providers guard against abusive or automated traffic, allowing the enquiry form to submit, and remembering your cookie choice so the banner does not reappear.
Functional
These remember preferences and make optional features work. Typical purposes: storing a language selection made through the on-page translation widget, remembering that you closed a notice, and letting embedded content and widgets, such as a video, work as intended. Decline them and the site still works, but some conveniences may reset each visit.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit (a Google plug-in for websites), to measure how the site is used: which pages are viewed, and how people arrive, whether from a search engine, a link on another site or an advertisement. We look at this in totals and trends, not to work out who you are.
The measurement tag identifier for this site is GT-NB33B2WB. It appears in the page source and anyone can see it. It identifies our measurement account rather than you, and is not itself personal information.
Advertising
These may be set by third-party services whose code appears on a page. They are used to make advertising more relevant to your likely interests, and to limit how often you see the same advertisement.
4. Your consent
The cookie banner is set to work on an opt-in basis: we ask permission first, and silence is not a yes.
We also use Google Consent Mode v2. It tells Google’s tags what you have permitted. Before you choose, both analytics storage and advertising storage are set to denied, so those tags are instructed not to store analytics or advertising cookies on your device. If you accept, that changes to granted and the cookies above may be set.
If you decline, or ignore the banner, only the strictly necessary group is meant to operate. You can still read every page and use the contact form. No content is withheld because you said no.
5. Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Any consent lasts only until you do.
- On this site — reopen the cookie banner or preferences control and switch each optional category on or off.
- In your browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox all let you block or delete cookies in their settings, usually under “Privacy”. Each browser’s help pages give current instructions.
Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of this site work. An embedded video, for example, may not load. Because the record of your choice sits on your device, clearing your cookies erases it and the banner will ask again.
6. Third-party embedded content
Some pages include media or widgets supplied by other companies. When that content loads, the provider may set its own cookies and may receive information about your visit, usually including your IP address. That is governed by the provider’s own policies, which we do not control. If a provider concerns you, read its policy first.
7. How this relates to your personal information
A device or browser identifier can be personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where that is so, we handle it as set out in our Privacy Policy. That policy covers what we collect, who may receive it (including Google, our hosting provider, Cloudflare and any independent third-party provider an enquiry is referred to), how to ask for access or correction, and how to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the technology on the site changes, when a provider changes its practices, or when Australian guidance changes. If a change materially affects the optional cookies we use, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.

Questions about cookies can be sent through the form at /contact-us/, which is our published contact channel. We do not publish a telephone number or street address, and the entity that operates this website is not identified on the site.
